Are You A Member Of The Elite?

Physics Nation, established by Honors Physics teacher, Dan Robertson, is an effort to boost student morale and participation in attending in various sporting events. Whether it be cheering for the tennis team during their last home match, to traveling out to see the boys and girls cross country meet on a Saturday morning, Physics Nation will be there.

When asked how Chardon Hilltopper girls soccer player, Dana Myeroff, felt about Physics Nation coming out to support her teammates during Senior Night, she exclaimed. “It was really nice to see so many people come out in the rain to help cheer us on into a win against Riverside. We executed the way we needed to and beat the Beavers 5-1, and whenever we scored, our Physics Nation student section went crazy.” The participation doesn’t stop there, Physics Nation was extremely loud during Senior Night for Girl’s Volleyball against RIverside. Although the Lady Toppers didn’t get the victory, the combined turn-out between the Chardon Crazies and Physics Nation was 30+ people, not to mention the support of the famous blow-up deer, Jevnikar.

“Physics Nation really brought tonight,” senior Maddie Lippert tells the Hilltop Echo after the game, “and even though we didn’t get the win, the loudness and support that we got was unreal and really helped us perform, despite some setbacks.” Typically, the turn out for Chardon’s Cross Country meet consists of parents and the athletes, but this was not the case for last Thursday’s meet on October 16, 2014. Once again, students traveled all the way to the meet to cheer the runners on.

Senior Josh Sopchak said, “It was really neat to see all of your classmates cheering you on as you run across the finish line. Every Friday night the Chardon Crazies attend the football games, so it was nice to see people from Physics Nation come support my sport, the sport that I love.” Now that there are Physics Nation T-shirts, brilliantly designed by senior Tim Decipeda, each student will be able to make it known who they are and why they’ve shown up, and hopefully the win for the Chardon Hilltoppers.
