Girl’s Basketball Preview

Girls Basketball Preview

The girl’s basketball team is looking to be successful once again this season. Last year, the girl’s team made it to the regional semis, finally losing to Euclid in a close game. This year, having three starters come back, they are projected to win the PAC conference. Led by guards Kahrin Spear and Lindsey Lyons, this team is looking very promising for this upcoming season. Head coach David Munson knows what his team is capable of this year, and is hoping for a season that will be just as successful as the last one.

“We have a lot of experience this year”, says four year letterman Kahrin Spear, “I can’t wait to see the outcome at the end of the season”. Not only are the starters on this team great, the bench is a great asset as well. Junior Dana Myeroff and freshman Josie Cremeans are always ready when their name gets called. And when they go on the court, they can play as well as anyone else.

Preparing for their first game of the season, the starting lineup will be: Kahrin Spear (guard), Lindsey Lyons (guard), Rachel Tusick (forward), Steph Hunter (forward) and Morgan Tropf (center). All of these girls got a lot of playing time at varsity last season. This means, their team has a lot of experience. Other teams may not be so lucky.

You can definitely say that the girl’s team this year has something special. Predicted to win PAC, it is safe to say that the team will make a run in the playoffs, possibly even further than last year. If you are a basketball fan, I would definitely recommend going out to the games to watch this exciting team play.
