17-year-old Colin Downs is entering his senior year at Chardon High School with big dreams and high hopes. This is his first year on the Hilltop Echo staff and says he is eager to see what the class is all about. He was inspired to join because of his love for both writing and Mr. L! He says he expects to learn how to strongly express ideas and research in his writing by the end of the year. Colin likes to play baseball, eat Chick-Fil-A, and is currently unemployed at Junction Auto.  “There’s really not very much that’s interesting about me,” the senior said. He also claims that he likes to learn and write about everything, making this class seem fitting for him. As the school year progresses, Colin is excited about spending time with friends and playing sports. Colin is excited to be a part of the team and is ready for an awesome last year!
