Return of the King

It has been three years since the decision. The decision LeBron James made to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers, and take his talents to South Beach to join the Miami Heat. In those three years, the Cavs performance has been very dismal, but after next season, there is a possibility that the King may return.
In those three years, the Cavs have been able to slowly improve without the King. The first year without James was…ugly, to say the least. Thankfully, the Cavs were able to get the number one pick in the NBA draft that year. With that pick, the Cavs selected Kyrie Irving. That year, Irving’s rookie season, the Cavs still continued to struggle but Irving emerged as the teams best player. Irving ended up winning the NBA Rookie Of The Year. The next season, this current season, the Cavs have greatly improved. While they are a better team, they are still one of the worse teams in the league. Irving has emerged as a star in the league, though. Then the Allstar break came along, and so did the rumors of James returning. “I personally would love to see James come back to Cleveland. Yeah sure I was mad when he left, but I got over it. He is the best basketball player in the world. I want him on my team,” said Chardon senior Daren Maruna.
In two years, James has the option to terminate his contract with the Heat and explore free agency. Many sports gurus believe he will do so for many reasons. One of them being that his teammate, Dwayne Wade, is getting old and his body cannot keep taking a beating the way it does. Many believe James misses Cleveland and wished he never left. People also believe James would want to come back is to play with Irving, who is already a top 3 point guard in the league and after only his two seasons. The ultimate goal would be to come back to his home and win a Championship. Many insiders have talked to James’ “in” group and they were told that he would like to go back to Cleveland and play one day. One day, a team in Cleveland may be relevant again.
