Over the years, the student section of Chardon, more well known as the Chardon Crazies, have been led by many captains to help lead their team to victory. But none of those captains are comparable to the current captain, Dillon Coughlin.

Dillon couldn’t be more happy about being the new Captain of Crazy. He has always wanted to be captain ever since he was a freshman here at Chardon, and now that he finally has his dream role, he will do everything in his power to create and lead the best student section around. “I could not be happier about being the new captain. I love leading this great student section and helping our team to victory.” said Coughlin. Leading over three full sections of stands filled with students every Friday night, Dillon has to do a lot in order to make sure that everyone is a part of helping the Hilltoppers win. Not only does he lead football student sections, he also goes to every volleyball game and cheers the girls on as well.

Coughlin was born and raised in Chardon, Ohio. He went to Munson Elementary, then attended Chardon Middle School, and is currently a senior at Chardon High. He is loved by the whole student body and is a great role model for the underclassmen. Along with being the Captain of Crazy, he is the starting catcher for the baseball team as well. Dillon was one of the leading hitters on the team with a .387 batting average on the season. The only person with a higher average was Perry Bewley. Dillon loves baseball a lot, but loves being the Captain of Crazy just as much.

“I don’t think anyone is a better fit for this job, other than him,”  senior Joey Grippe says when asked about Coughlin. It is safe to say that everyone loves the fact that Coughlin got the job as captain. Dillon will continue to lead the Crazies throughout the year, and everyone will be in full support along with him.
