April Fools: Local Millionaire to Re-Attend Chardon High School

Heir to the international hotel chain, Holiday Inn, William Gilmore is set to re-attend Chardon High School in the upcoming week. The 27 year old millionaire felt he must prove to his father, Brian Gilmore, that he is smart enough to pass high school and take control of the hotel chain.

Gilmore recently attended Park Elementary and is currently in eighth grade at Chardon Middle School. Gilmore must attend each grade, spanning from first to twelfth, within a twenty-four week period, spending two weeks in each grade. Then he must take a final test to pass. Brian Gilmore stated that if William could accomplish this, then he would pass him the CEO chair of the company. However, if he could not pass the test, that position would go to Holiday Inn’s executive vice-president Eric Gordon. Gilmore is set to re-attend Chardon High School within the upcoming week. “We believe in second chances here in Chardon,” explained assistant Principal Sedlak. “We look forward to welcoming back Mr. Gilmore and will graciously accept his father’s donation of $200,000.”

The situation brought on controversy as news came out that Gilmore’s father had bribed William’s way through school before. Gilmore had never actually passed a grade, and rarely even attended class. “Yeah I had [Gilmore] in my chemistry class his junior year,” describes Mr.  Bartley. “He always made a fool of himself; I remember one day he mocked chlorophyll by calling it BOREophyll. It will be a huge mistake to let him back into Chardon.” He was most known for creating trouble and bullying other students. “Yes, I’ve held a grudge,” says Danny McGrath, a former classmate of Gilmore. “Not once was [Gilmore] ever nice to me. As a matter of fact, he bullied me, shoved me into lockers and gave me countless wet-willies.”

Though Principal Fetchick has already green-lighted Gilmore to attend Chardon High School, several members of the Chardon Board of Education are skeptical about the whole ordeal. . The whole thing sparks the question: do people like William Gilmore deserve another chance because they are rich? Chardon High School says “Yes”.  “The whole thing seems like a movie plot!” Explains Mr. Snyder. “You know the kind of comedy that has like David Spade or Adam Sandler or something?”
