Who has done you wrong this holiday season?
Did a boy who break your heart and find themselves a date on Clownin.com?
Someone step on your heel in the hallway?
Someone trying to have political conversations with you on your birthday?
Did your best friend steal your boo?
I have got news for you!
Ladies and gentlemen of Chardon High School, everyone has that one person they silently wish that they could slather in butter and serve to their family on a silver platter. But instead of cannibalism, I have 3 steps that will get rid of any and all bad juju during the holidays:
Spend Time With Your Crew!
Many studies show that spending time with your friends can boost your mood. Marcel Proust, a French novelist, once said, “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy. They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” No matter how many bad vibes your enemies try to send your way, nothing can beat the power of friendship. There’s nothing better than knowing you’ve got a solid group of people who have your back no matter what life is throwing at you.
2) Take Time for Yourself!
When a person is going through tough times with bullies, people trying to bring them down, etc. They generally forget the most important thing that they need to do, and that is to take care of themselves. Taking time for yourself is a fundamental part of life. The more you let yourself slip, the more vulnerable you become and the more vulnerable you are, the more the simple things your enemies say will get to you. When you take the time out of your day to care for yourself, whether it’s meditating, writing in a journal, listening to a podcast. Anything that makes you happy and feel refreshed is the best thing for your soul.
3) Last but certainly not least…..BE HAPPY!
The biggest threat to your enemies is seeing you enjoying your life and living it to the fullest amongst all of their hate. Show the world your smile, lift your chin up, and know that anything they have to say about you is only out of fear of their own flaws. This also keeps out all of the petty drama, like spreading bad things about them or lowkey texting their mothers about their treachery. Being happy is the biggest slap to the face that you can give anyone. Show them all of their petty efforts were absolutely nothing but a waste of their time!!
I know you rambunctious kids probably thought this was going to be some sketchy article about 21st Century cannibalism, but you were very wrong. This article, my dear readers, is the key to your success in the cannibalistic world of high school. “Be a star. Be a Superstar. – DJ Khaled”
