The Cleveland Browns started their season with a tough loss against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns lost 27 to 17 but they fought hard to win. In the first quarter, the Browns had a hard time with a lot of penalties. They had 11 penalties that costed them a total of 72 yards. If the Browns didn’t have those penalties, then the game would have been a lot closer and more exciting. In the second half the Browns played a lot better and tried to come back for the win.

In week two, the Browns played the Indianapolis Colts. The Browns won that game 27 to 19. The Browns took advantage of the Colts quarterback Peyton Manning being out with a neck injury. The Browns really worked their butts off because they only had four penalties costing them 49 yards. By looking at the stats the Browns seemed to beat Indy in all aspects of the game.

In week three, The Browns played the Miami Dolphins. It was a very hard fought game for both teams but it came down to the final second to determine who won the game. The Browns had to fight because one of their best players Peyton Hillis was out because of strep throat. The Browns had to bring in second string running back Montario Hardesty. He had 14 carries for 67 yards. From looking at the stats, the Browns really did work hard even though they had possession of the ball for a shorter time than the Miami Dolphins, the Browns still won the game 17 to 16. The Browns played spectacular defense, which made them clintch the win. The game came down to a touchdown by Mohamed Massaquoi and an extra point by Phil Dawson.

The Browns play the Tennessee Titans for week four. It will be an intense game because both the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns are 2 and 1.  That game will really test the offensive capabilities of the Browns and QB Colt McCoy.  The Browns defense needs to have a great game as well,  Just like they have played the last two weeks.  The Browns lost to the Titans 31-13. Will Blankenship says “I predict that the browns defense will stop offenses to come but the Browns offense needs to pick it up and score some points”.  The Browns offense and defense didn’t perform the way they wanted and the ways the fans wanted them to play. Colt McCoy threw 61 pass and competed 40.  Mr. Snyder says this about the Browns “considering how they have preformed since they have came back I have no expectations for them anymore”.

So tune in and help support the Browns this season because the Browns may be making it to the playoffs this year. It has been a while since the Browns made it to the playoffs. The last year the Browns made it to the playoffs was in 2002 with a 9-7 record.
