Everyone loves John and looks up to him in some way,” said Audrey. “The biggest thing that stands out to me about John is his commitment and dedication for everything he does in life, especially with baseball and school work,” she continued. “Also, he is always there for anyone if they need a friend or just someone to talk to.”

We feed off his intensity and drive. He makes everyone around him better,” said senior Matt Leskovec. He is a leader on this year’s over-20-win baseball team. John always comes to the game full of energy, which picks up the rest of the team. Senior Jake Kirsh said, “He is an amazing baseball player. He has confidence in himself and the team. He always brings a positive attitude and no matter what, he puts the team first.” Kirsh continued bys saying “John is willing to do anything to help the team and is extremely passionate about the game. He works so hard at it, always thinking of ways to improve and never ever gives in. The kid just won’t quit.”

John is a great individual and has his head on straight. He has so many great qualities and he never loses faith. Senior Holden Pahr said, “I think the biggest thing is his strong faith. It’s obvious that his faith is his main guide in his life. He is a very humble person and has stayed grounded even with the success and achievements that he has had so far. And he has stayed with his roots. I think John is pretty darn close to the exact same kid that I knew growing up in elementary school. As a person and as a friend I have the utmost respect for John.” John is respected by all teachers, family, and his friends.

“He’s helped me out with like everything. Anytime I have a question, I’ll ask him. I don’t have anything specific, but in general he has helped me think things through, and helped me with anything I’ve needed. He’s an awesome person and a model friend,” said senior Matt Goergen. John is loved by all of his friends. You can go up to anyone in the school and they will know who John Martillotta is. “He is always saying something weird that makes me scratch my head.
